I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
